Còisir Ghàidhlig an Eilein Mhuilich, the Isle of Mull Gaelic Choir, was founded in the spring of 1978, solely to compete at that year's mod when it was realised that Mull needed more representation at the National Mod. Needless to say, it was agreed at the first Annual General Meeting that the Choir should remain in existence, and it has gone from strength to strength, now under the baton of Elizabeth Jack, and the Gaelic tuition of Janet MacDonald.
