About meAbout me

This is me with the lovely Julie Fowlis, who I met after a gig at the Brewhouse Theatre in Taunton.

Well, where can I start? I was born in Glasgow but for most of my life, have lived in Somerset. A wee village next to Glastonbury to be precise. Believe or not, I still have a weegie accent, haha!

I have always had an interest in Gaelic language and culture, esp. since the launch of BBC Alba. I am currently teaching myself Gaelic, with a little help from Rhoda MacDonald's fantastic 'With Speaking Our Language' and from a few other sources.

As a person who is proud of his Scottish/Irish roots and who's hungry for knowledge & education, I hope to continue learning this language in the long term and maybe one day, get involved in some gaelic activities.

Slainte mhath!
